Enhanced Results Analysis - Doing more with results

Enhanced Results Analysis for teachers

Enhanced Results Analysis is a free online tool that provides an instant breakdown of exam results at the click of a mouse. With clear and simple snapshots, Enhanced Results Analysis provides information on how your school, subject, class and individual students performed.

A very useful service that has helped me with teaching this year

Enhanced Results Analysis will help you to...

  • Review – on results days, you can immediately see and analyse your students' results. You can also instantly compare the average mark your students received to the previous year, similar centres or all AQA centres.
  • Provide feedback – after reviewing the results, you can use the mark scheme and examiners’ report to explain to students where and why they lost marks. You can also identify students who would benefit from a re-sit.
  • Address areas for improvement – with the weaker areas highlighted you can use this insight to deliver personalised revision plans or amend your lesson plans.
  • Target set and plan for next year – with year-on-year comparison of results you can easily identify trends and areas for improvement.

New developments – available from results days 2009

Analyse your students’ exam results in groups

Group students together to analyse their exam results and identify trends by comparing with national averages, with the rest of your centre and even with other groups. By creating your own groups you can evaluate by class, ability level or whatever category you choose. This is available for all subjects.

Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses in the assessment

Review how your students have performed in specification objectives, specification references or skills and topics covered by the exam. This function really highlights students’ strengths and weaknesses and allows you to identify trends. We are currently piloting this analysis for selected subjects and components.

More subjects with question data

From this summer, most of our papers have data available at the question level. This means that you can really explore in detail what has worked for your students and what hasn’t, allowing you to focus your teaching.

Enhanced Results Analysis allows you to give more focused support to your students.
