What is the Level 1 Award (QCF) in PSHE?
Level 1 Award
- This qualification is available to students of any age.
- Level 1 in the Qualifications and Credit Framework.
- Usually taught as a one- or two-year course in schools and colleges.
How is it assessed?
- This is a unitised qualification based on completion of four units which are assessed internally using teacher-set assignments and moderated externally.
Equivalents
- Equivalent to a GCSE short course.
- Level 1 is equivalent to GCSE grades D–G.
- The quality of the work done should be the same as for a GCSE short course grade G or above.
