AQA is a self-governing independent educational charity. Our purpose is to advance education for the benefit of young people and other learners, principally by providing high-quality qualifications.

Our Council has responsibility for overall strategy and direction, and is made up of representatives of our stakeholders in education and business. Day-to-day leadership and management is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer who is assisted by the Executive Board.
