Employability and the AQA Bacc

The enrichment element of the AQA Bacc helps students show they have the abilities and personal qualities, like leadership, creativity, commitment and problem-solving, that employers want.

Encourage your students to create an enrichment diary to show how their activities - like playing in a band, being a committed member of a football team or organising a charity event - demonstrate that they are already using and developing these important qualities.

The PDF has in-depth material for students on identifying and documenting the abilities and personal qualities (often referred to as 'key compentences' by employers) that will increase their employability.

Some of the UKs major employers also feature useful material on employability on their websites.

For example, during the autumn terms all sixth forms received a copy of Price Waterhouse Coopers' (PwC) employability brochure, which can also be found on their website.
