AQA Language course information

Students need to complete a Full Course in order for the GCSE to be counted towards the English Bacc.

AQA qualifications that currently count towards the English Bacc:

All our Language qualifications include Listening and Reading units and Speaking and Writing units, with a choice of topics.

Why choose AQA for GCSE Languages?

Support materials are available in the Teacher Resource Bank for each qualification.

For traditional languages:

  • teachers benefit from the personal support provided by our Controlled Assessment Advisers
  • annual teacher standardisation meetings help teachers with the Speaking Controlled Assessment.

Schools teaching languages with an externally-assessed Speaking test benefit from annual training meetings.
