Ready for an evolution?
In an exciting change in the education of all learners, new specifications in Functional Skills will be introduced nationally for first teaching from September 2010, to equip them with practical skills for the modern world.
Teaching Functional Skills will give you an opportunity to engage students with English, ICT and Maths, by showing them how to apply each subject in everyday situations, for example by:
- writing an effective job application
- finding what they need on the Internet
- evaluating the best deal for a mobile phone package.
We'll make sure that you're 2010 ready
AQA is the practical choice for Functional Skills – we are uniquely placed to guide you through this challenge.
- As the trusted leader in delivering GCSEs and A-levels, we have the experience and knowledge to help you and your students succeed in Functional Skills.
- In a major pilot scheme, we are working with 21 448 students and their teachers, in 527 schools. Over the past two years, we've tested and refined the specifications, so they can be taught easily and effectively, with straightforward and accessible qualifications.
- Our exceptional support structure and comprehensive resources will help you to contain your workload and your students to achieve their potential.
I have used AQA in the past and the standard of support is still high.
