GCSE Physical Education (from 2009)

Unique opportunities with our GCSE PE specification

Our specification is designed to give students:

  • three course options
  • understanding of how to live healthily and actively
  • a route to further study or related careers.

Benefits of our specification

  • The only Double Award available at GCSE
  • More choice of student roles and activities
  • More stimulating, but reduced content emphasises broad, topical coverage, including the Olympic Games
  • More accessible assessment methods cater for a wider variety of students and allow them to focus revision before the exam
  • Simplified practical assessments allow students to demonstrate broad, rather than detailed technical knowledge
