Sometimes two people might be trained, so that if one of the Co-ordinators is absent, someone else knows what to do.
The training covers:
Training meetings are held in several central locations or training can take place on-site. In most cases it is provided by AQA. For some northern centres, training is arranged through an LA or Consortium.
Forthcoming training meetings:
| London | Wednesday 22 February 2012 |
| Birmingham | Thursday 15 March 2012 |
| Leeds | Tuesday 24 April 2012 |
Contact our UAS team for more information and a booking form.
You need to complete a Centre Registration Form and attend a training meeting:
There is a fee for attending the training meeting.
This is followed by a one-off visit by an AQA Assessor when you make your first formal recommendations for the award of units. The Assessor will check all the recommendations and offer advice on any operational issues. There is a charge for this visit.
After this, you pay an annual fee per student, regardless of how many units a student achieves during the year.
See details of current training fees and participation fees.
Once a centre is registered with the UAS, inexperienced/new Co-ordinators can attend further training meetings which are free. We also run unit writing training meetings for which there is a charge. Contact our UAS team for more information.
