Controlled Assessment
Controlled Assessment is internal assessment with three stages:
- task setting
- task taking
- task marking.
At each stage control levels have been set at low, medium or high to ensure reliability and authenticity of students' work.
Controlled Assessment applies to:
- GCSE subjects that have an internal assessment component
- Principal Learning Units within Diplomas.
Controlled Assessment does not currently apply to:
- GCSE Maths
- A-level subjects
